H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Update
H1N1 Vaccine
Roseville Pediatrics will continue to receive injectable H1N1 vaccine in small quantities over the next 8-12 weeks. We have received preservative free for children 6 months to 35 months and nonpreservative free for ages 3 and up. Roseville Pediatrics is following the Department of Health guidelines by immunizing the highest priority groups as supplies are received. The current priority patient groups designated to receive our practice's current H1N1 vaccine supply are:
-
6 months-9 years of age
-
Children already recognized as medically high risk and on our Medical Home Program
-
Asthma patients on daily maintenance therapy or have been hospitalized within the past 6 months for Asthma/Pneumonia.
-
Siblings in our practice that have an infant in their home less then 6 months of Age.
As of November 17th, our practice has received an additional limited supply of H1N1 vaccine. Please call to schedule an appointment at this time. We are making every effort to give as many patients as possible at least one dose of the vaccine; therefore, at this time, we are not scheduling second doses of H1N1.
The seasonal flu vaccine will not protect your child from H1N1 Flu.
Seasonal Flu Vaccine
As of November 18th, our practice has received an additional limited supply of injectable seasonal flu vaccine for age 3 and up. The vaccine will be available to our patients currently scheduled and those patients previously cancelled due to manufacturer's backorder. Please continue to check our website as more vaccine becomes available.
We no longer have the seasonal Flumist and will not be receiving an additional supply. If your child has a scheduled appointment for the Flumist, the injectable vaccine will be offered at that time. If you do not want your child to receive the injectable vaccine, please call our office to cancel the appointment.
Thank you to all of our wonderful parents and patients. You have been very understanding and supportive of our efforts to get through this H1N1 outbreak. Please continue to check our website weekly for continued updates.

At Roseville Pediatric, we care for children from infancy through their teenage years. Our physicians are highly trained in many aspects of pediatric care including asthma, attention deficit disorder, immunizations, and diabetes. We excel in caring for both children who are well and those who are chronically ill. We have also incorporated a medical home program which provides care coordination for children with special healthcare needs. We provide solutions, not just medications. A physician is on call 24 hours a day seven days a week and all holidays.
In the event of a potentially life-threatening emergency, immediately dial 911 before calling our office. In the event of a potential poison ingestion, we recommend you call the Poison Center immediately at 1-800-222-1222.
