Research Institute

The Lancaster General Research Institute provides assistance in every aspect of research study in order to advance the quality of life of our patients and community and implement process improvement within our facilities.

The institute supports Lancaster General physicians and staff with data collection, data tools, project coordination and statistical analysis. Research conducted focuses on treatment, diagnostic and procedural efficacy in the general hospital and affiliated specialty areas. The institute also works in conjunction with the Family Medicine Residency Program to provide research opportunities for the advancement of medical education.

Family Practice Health Research
The center’s primary mission is to produce and apply clinically useful (and new) information that improves the performance of health care professionals and the health of patients. Areas of concentration include Family Practice Residency, Clinics and Faculty, CCC/HIV, M/C Health, Public Health and Geriatrics.
 
 
Lancaster General Medical Group (LGMG)
A multi-specialty network of physicians and mid-level providers focusing on community based care. Research collaboration is focused on outcomes, performance improvement and EMR outcomes.
 
 
Community Health and Wellness
This entity incorporates Lancaster General’s mission to advance the health and well being of the communities of Lancaster by identifying what health issues affect the members of the Lancaster community and addressing them. Utilizing data from federal and state documents as well as data collected here at Lancaster General, Community Health and Wellness has created programs, formed partnerships and aligned services to help Lancaster Countians become healthier. Recent focuses have been on healthy weight management, tobacco use and domestic violence.
 
 
LGH Clinical Lines
Clinical lines defines all clinical entities operating within Lancaster General such as the Trauma Department, Emergency Department and Cardiology Departments with research focused on outcomes, clinical trials and performance improvement.
