Families in northwestern Lancaster County may soon have a little extra time on their hands when it comes to getting premium outpatient medical services. When the new Lancaster General–Norlanco facility opens this summer, quality radiology, laboratory and rehabilitation services will be located right around the corner.
“Our goal is to make it easier for people to get the medical care they need from a name they know and trust,” says Jack Goble, Director of Outpatient Services.
Although the new facility will be located next to Norlanco Medical Associates (a Lancaster General Medical Group practice, see page 3 for details), it is open to everyone who needs reliable outpatient medical services.
“We know that people who live and work in this area of the county have to drive 20 minutes or more for lab tests and x-rays,” Jack explains. “We hope to eliminate or dramatically reduce the inconvenience factor when our new center opens.”
Our emphasis is on customer service, with friendly staff and patient areas that offer greater privacy to keep your health information confidential. Upon entering the new facility, you will find yourself in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere where you will be able to access a broad range of services, including:
Laboratory testing
- electrocardiograph
- holter monitors
- urinalysis
- blood tests
Imaging services
- screening mammograms
- dexa scan (for osteoporosis testing)
- ultrasound
- x-rays
- open MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) provided by the MRI Group
Physical therapy
Pulmonary function testing
For convenience, rehabilitation patients will be able to shower and change following therapy in a locker room located beside the spacious gym.
The facility will be open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. – noon. Appointments will be required for most of the services, although blood testing and general x-ray studies can be done on a walk-in basis with the appropriate referrals.
