Women’s Expressions:

Women’s Expressions was conceived as an exhibit of women’s art work that would be a fund-raiser and friend-raiser for Lancaster General Women & Babies Hospital. The art exhibit celebrates women and their artistic talents by transforming Women & Babies Hospital into an “Art Gallery”. The idea of incorporating women’s art – its expressions, the pleasure it brings, and its healing powers – with women’s health issues supports the goal of enriching women’s lives through a holistic philosophy. Because our purpose is multi-faceted, Women’s Expressions strives to incorporate outreach programs that will reach out to the community to meet needs while celebrating women’s talent and diversity. The proceeds from Women’s Expressions have supported a nurse navigator in the Breast Care Center, self esteem programs for adolescent girls, a women’s heart health education and awareness program, an original video, and a mural in the city of Lancaster. As Women’s Expressions celebrates and appreciates the creativity of women, we strive to develop services through it that will provide a resource for women and promote a healthy environment in which they may live.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Support Fund:

The NICU FUND provides support to families who experienced the stress of having a baby who needed special medical attention in the NICU, this fund provides amenities such as pizza breaks for families, books and videos for siblings and other family members, specialized car seats, furniture in the NICU, and a parent group to provide NICU families with the support of individuals who have had similar experiences.

Butterfly Fund:

The BUTTERLY FUND provides supportive services to families who have experienced the death of a child through neonatal death, miscarriage or stillbirth. Supportive services will include, but are not limited to: counseling services, clothing and blankets when appropriate, memorial/memory boxes and educational literature on grief and loss.

Women’s Breast and Gynecological Cancer Care Fund:

Contributions to the BREAST and GYNECOLOGICAL CANCER CARE FUND enable WBH to meet the unique needs of a woman facing cancer by providing a programs and services to guide and assist women through the cancer care process.

Breast Care Educational Outreach and Relief Fund

Contributions to the BREAST CARE EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH & RELIEF FUND provide outreach seminars and educational materials to women in our Lancaster Community. In addition, this fund provides gap funding to meet the critical needs of women living with cancer who demonstrate financial need.

Women & Babies Rocking Chair Project

Rocking Chair Memorial, Celebration or Honor Gifts: Contributions of $500 or more can be designated to provide rocking chairs in the couplet care and NICU areas of Women and Babies Hospital. Each rocking chair that is placed will have a brass tag attached indicating for whom the rocking chair is named and the reason for the chair. Examples: memorial of a child, honor of a woman who overcame a difficulty, celebration of a birthday.

WBH Women’s Giving Circle

The Lancaster General Women and Babies Hospital Women’s Giving Circle provides an opportunity for female donors to impact women’s healthcare by investing in programs and initiatives that significantly improve the quality of their lives.

Members gather three times per year to educate themselves on community health issues and determine how to allocate their collective funds to support women’s healthcare services at Women and Babies Hospital.
