Paying for Home Health Care
Home health care services are usually paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, worker’s compensation, private insurance, or private pay. These insurances have certain medical and eligibility requirements that must be met before care will be authorized.

Some insurance companies may require pre-certification and may limit the number and type of home health visits we can provide. Additionally, a deductible or a co-payment for service may be required. Our staff will work with you and your insurer to coordinate your home health care benefits.

You will be informed of any additional charges for services not covered under Medicare or other insurance before you receive such services. At or before the time of admission, you and/or your caregiver will be informed about all anticipated charges and payment methods.

If you believe your insurance and/or income will not cover the cost of your care or you do not have insurance, you may qualify for financial assistance. We have established a Community Care Fund for low-income under-insured patients who may not be able to pay for services. This assistance is made possible by the United Ways of Lancaster and Chester Counties, as well as through contributions made by individuals and corporations. For more information about financial assistance, please contact the local office providing your care.
