United Auxiliaries to Lancaster General

Mission:
The United Auxiliaries promotes and supports the development of the hospital through fund-raising, public relations, and volunteer services.

Opportunities for Giving:
Throughout the year, the United Auxiliaries organize several events to benefit Lancaster General programs. In more than 54 years of service, the Auxiliary has provided over $4.6 million for new equipment, facilities and programs. In addition, Auxiliary volunteers dedicate many hours to the hospital and the community through health promotion projects like their one-day conference, Women: A Day for You.

Baby's First Months video: Parents of every newborn baby born at Lancaster General Women & Babies Hospital receive a free copy of this informational tool.

Tot Trax: Parents receive free reminders by mail or by phone to let them know when their children are due for immunizations during the first seven months of their baby's life.

Breast Care Center: The Auxiliary has pledged $350,000 for this project. Proceeds from Gifts in General and events like the golf tournament, Red Rose Day and other special fundraisers have been dedicated to this important community resource.

Reach Out and Read: A national project that promotes childhood literacy by incorporating books and reading into routine child healthcare through Lancaster General's Family Health Services Clinic. The Auxiliary has pledged funds to support this program.

Women: A Day for You: The day begins with a continental breakfast and feature presentation by Barbara Braunstein. Throughout the day, you'll enjoy breakout sessions on a variety of topics as well as time to visit the vendor area for information and great giveaways.
