A Parent's Guide to Healthy Eating & Activity

A Parent's Guide to Healthy Eating & Activity

In response to the state’s requirement for mandatory reporting of children’s Body Mass Index (BMI) in K through 3rd grades beginning in fall 2005, Lancaster General has created an educational guide for parents. A Parent’s Guide for Healthy Eating & Activity provides information on what BMI is and how to determine what a child’s healthy range is, as well as healthy eating and physical activity guidelines for children. A hardcopy of the guide is available through all Lancaster County schools or at the Lancaster General Wellness Center, located on the second floor of Lancaster General Health Campus.   Call 1-888-LGH-INFO for more information.
