Physicians Healthy Weight Management Coalition
The Coalition is being organized under the auspices of the Lancaster General Center for Wellness and will promote and support physician involvement in the management of weight-related conditions and disorders. The first Coalition meeting is being planned for January.

Lancaster General Welcomes Bariatric Surgeon
Alan H. Brader has accepted the position of Medical Director of the Lancaster General Healthy Weight Management program. He is the founder of Lancaster General Bariatrics, a multi-disciplinary weight loss surgical practice.
Dr. Brader is board certified in both surgery and surgical critical care and is a clinical expert in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Bariatrics and Metabolic Surgery.
From 1991 until 2004, Dr. Brader served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery with the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine. During his tenure, he was selected as Surgical Teacher of the Year on three occasions by the surgical residency staff.
