Exercise and therapy are an important part of your healing process. Our team of physical and occupational therapists is an integral part of the Orthopedic Center. The physical medicine and rehabilitation gym is located directly in the total joint replacement nursing unit. This centralized location makes it easier for you, your physician and our teams to work together on your rehabilitation plan. The gym provides you with a cheerful atmosphere that is focused on your wellness. It also features a full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living area to simulate a home setting to better prepare you for discharge.

The healing process continues outside the gym. You will be encouraged to complete routine tasks on your own to prepare for your discharge. Simple activities like sitting in a chair for meals, dressing in your own clothes and walking to the restroom are all activities you will be encouraged to take part in.
