I’m proud to have been a part of nursing at Lancaster General for more than 20 years. Throughout my career here, I’ve always been impressed with the sincere and hard-working attitude I see so often in our employees. Our collective drive to give 110 percent has certainly been a source of inspiration and motivation for me and so many others.
This positive attitude is evident from the moment you walk into one of our facilities. Recently, we saw our efforts rewarded with 100 Top Hospital status and Magnet Hospital designation. The 100 Top Hospitals honor comes from Solucient, Inc., an independent organization that studies the performance of hospitals across the nation. This is the sixth time in seven years that Lancaster General has achieved this mark of distinction. Also, the American Nurses Credentialing Organization awards Magnet status to hospitals that demonstrate excellence in nursing and healthcare. Only 102 hospitals in the entire country have earned this status.
Honors such as these help us to recruit and retain highly skilled and capable employees who help us provide exceptional levels of patient care. Most importantly, it helps accomplish our mission of improving the health and quality of life of Lancaster County.
While we are proud of our reputation and history of excellence, we never rest on our accomplishments. That’s because we know there is so much more that we can do. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to provide easy access to our high-quality services for everyone in our community.
We also look for new employees who want to join a healthcare team that prioritizes patient care and customer service. We have the opportunities if you have the skills and mindset to help move Lancaster General into the future.
