First Trimester Screening

All pregnant women, no matter what their age, should be offered the option of first trimester screening with a nuchal translucency test and nasal bone imaging. First trimester screening is designed to determine a woman’s risk for Down syndrome and other fetal chromosomal abnormalities.

Abnormal AFP (alpha fetoprotein) blood test

Gestational Hypertension, Preeclampsia, or Eclampsia

Gestational Diabetes

Small for Gestational Age or Intrauterine Growth Restriction

Oligohydramnios or Polyhydramnios

Previous Pregnancy Loss or Stillbirth
