Office Information & Policies

Location

Maternal-Fetal Medicine is conveniently located at Women & Babies Hospital on the second floor of the Women’s Outpatient Pavilion.

Referral

We work closely with your doctor’s office to ensure you receive the most appropriate care so we ask that you obtain a referral from them for our services.

Securing a referral is important because it:

  •  Enables us access to your medical records from your doctor’s office more easily, allowing us to coordinate your care seamlessly.
  • Gives your provider timely access to our reports and recommendations.
  • Allows coordination of your health insurance coverage.

We ask that you arrive approximately 10 minutes early for your appointment in order to fill out the necessary paperwork and insurance information.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the above information please call our office at

(717) 544-3514.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

When you make an appointment, we reserve a specific amount of time for your visit. Unfortunately, when a patient doesn’t show for their scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen.

Therefore, if you need to cancel or re-schedule, you are requested to notify us as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours in advance of an ultrasound or consultation appointment and 24 hours in advance of a Non-Stress Test.

Due to the time sensitive nature of certain testing we may not be able to accommodate all requests for rescheduling your appointment; please keep this in mind when you consider cancelling.

Please phone our office as soon as you are aware that you will be cancelling your appointment. If you phone our office after hours, please leave a message to cancel or reschedule and we will confirm with you by phone on the next business day.

Insurance Information

Please keep in mind that your insurance carrier may only cover parts of testing or only specific tests performed for specific reasons. It may be in your best interest to contact your insurance carrier to find out if the testing you desire is a covered benefit or if pre-authorization is required.
