A gift of whole life insurance can be made to Lancaster General by naming Lancaster General the irrevocable owner and beneficiary of the policy. The policy can either be paid-up, or, if not paid-up as of the date of the gift, has a minimum face value of $100,000. 

Gifts of life insurance policies require charitable contributions from the donor to Lancaster General in the amount of any premiums, including unscheduled premiums, which may become due.
