Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital

An illness or injury can be devastating…to body and spirit. The loss of the ability to walk, care for oneself, think clearly or communicate can be frightening.

In response to the growing needs of the community and in keeping with our mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities of Lancaster, Lancaster General and Centerre Healthcare are pleased to announce the Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital.

Lancaster Rehabilitation HospitalThis 52,800 square-foot, single-story facility, is built on 6.39-acres of land at 675 Good Drive, Lancaster. Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital includes a therapeutic pool, gymnasium, 50 private rooms and space for intensive inpatient physical rehabilitation following strokes, trauma or other healthcare problems that result in severe disabilities. The facility provides a setting that enhances rehabilitation care beyond what was historically provided at Lancaster General Hospital and what is available at other hospitals throughout the region.

Lancaster General and Centerre Healthcare evenly share ownership of the hospital. Centerre is a national provider of inpatient acute rehabilitation services dedicated solely to partnering with hospitals in the development and operation of acute rehabilitation hospitals. They are headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., and will manage the facility.

With Centerre’s expertise and guidance, Lancaster Rehabilitation staff helps patients set realistic goals and teaches skills that support continued progress. This begins with an in-depth assessment of the patient’s condition, development of interdisciplinary goals and a care plan, continual progress tracking throughout treatment, and plans to return home.
