Lancaster Medical Society Foundation grants scholarships to students from Lancaster County planning to go to medical school who show financial need. Awards are made without regard to race, creed, color or sex. Academic achievement, character and motivation are taken into consideration.

In order to become a candidate for one of these scholarships, we ask that you complete the enclosed application.

Please send (1) the application page, (2) a transcript of your grades, and (3) a copy of your income tax form to the above address. All of these forms must be received by us by July 1. Lancaster Medical Society Foundation will not process applications found to be incomplete as of July 1. Grant recipients of the Lancaster Medical Society Foundation scholarship will be notified no later than September 1.

The number of scholarships and the amount of the scholarships to be granted will be determined by the availability of funds - minimum amount $6,000.

Please include a one page cover letter that describes why you have chosen medicine as a career.
