Packing for Delivery

What Should I Pack?
Preparing for Your Women & Babies Hospital Stay

Should you bring shampoo? What about baby diapers or a receiving blanket?

The last thing an expectant mother needs to worry about is what she should and shouldn’t pack for her stay in the hospital after her baby’s arrival.

Fortunately, Women & Babies Hospital offers a comprehensive checklist to let you know what items you might want to bring to the hospital and what items will be provided for you. No more debating whether or not you need to bring along a hair dryer (which is available in each room in the Couplet Care unit.)

The list offers helpful reminders so you remember to bring along important things like your camera, a small receiving blanket and your baby’s going home outfit.

Lancaster General provides all of the necessary hair and body wash, baby diapers, soft wipes and any medication you or your baby may need.

Click here for a printable copy of the checklist, or request a list by calling 544-3700.
