Women: Take Action Against Cervical Cancer

Lancaster County has a high incident rate for cervical cancer… a condition that can be treated successfully when caught early through screening. Between 1998 and 2002, there were 111 incidents of cervical cancer reported in Lancaster County.
Lancaster General has received a grant to provide free cervical cancer screening and treatment services for women who many postpone these important screenings due to a lack of financial resources.
The grant enables us to provide pap tests and followup treatment to women between the ages of 18 and 64 from now until June 30, 2007.
To schedule a cervical cancer screening as part of the “Women: Take Action Against Cervical Cancer!” initiative, call us at (800) 341-2121 Or if you live in the Ephrata area, you can schedule directly by calling Lincoln Family Medicine at 738-0660. If you know someone who may be postponing this important exam due to financial concerns, please let them know that now is the perfect time to set up an appointment.
