Dancing for Dreams
to benefit Lancaster General College

Get ready to dance at the first-ever Dancing for Dreams event to benefit the Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences. This exciting dance showcase will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2007 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lancaster Host Resort.

Dancing for Dreams will partner local celebrities with professional ballroom dance instructors who have volunteered to teach the celebrities how to dance. The night of the event, the celebrities and the professionals will wow attendees with their ballroom dance performances. Several award-winning professional dancers will demonstrate their skills, getting everyone in the mood for social dancing after the show.

P.J. Winchell, Event Co-chairperson and College alumna, is a driving force behind Dancing for Dreams. “I am so blessed to have my passion for dancing benefit one of the other passions in my life...nursing,” P.J. said. “How neat it is that I now have the opportunity to give back to a school that gave so much to me and to the profession I love.”

All proceeds will benefit Lancaster General College. “During this time of profound shortages of healthcare professionals, supporting the cause of healthcare education will ultimately benefit the south central Pennsylvania community and beyond,” said Margie Lamberson, Senior Development Officer for the College.

This black-tie optional fundraiser will be the signature fundraiser for the college and will feature a gala dinner, show and post-show dancing. Various ticket levels will be available.
