Welcome our new VP of Nursing

Michele Campbell, MSN, RN, has been named Vice President of Nursing at Lancaster General Women & Babies Hospital.

Michele comes to Lancaster General with 28 years of clinical, administrative and managerial nursing experience, much of which was focused on women’s and children’s healthcare.

Michele began her career at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, where she served as nurse manager of the High Risk Antepartum Unit, Labor and Delivery and Perinatal Testing. She was also Director of Nursing, Women’s and Children’s Services at Capital Health System/Harrisburg Hospital from 1990-1996 and Vice President, Women, Children and Behavioral Service at Pinnacle Health System until 2001.

Immediately prior to joining Lancaster General, Campbell was Executive Administrator of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, the recognized voice for nursing in the state.

A graduate of Lankenau School of Nursing, Campbell received both her BS and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Villanova University. She is vice president of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, a board member and legislative chairperson for the Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders, past president of the South Central Organization of Nurse Leaders and a member of the Association of Women’s Health, OB and Neonatal Nursing.
