HealthWise: Fitness Stroller Walks

Fitness Stroller Walks

Looking for a healthy activity for you and your infant or toddler? Check out the new series of Fitness Stroller walks scheduled this spring.

Moms can take a one-hour stroll in Lancaster County Central Park along a stroller-friendly trail with their child, then learn more about nutrition, infant safety, exercise and more.

Walks are held Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Sign up for any or all of the following walks:

  • April 26 – Nutrition and Exercise: a Family Affair
  • May 3 – Choosing an Alternative Care Provider for Your Baby
  • May 10 – Infant Safety and Childproofing
  • May 17 – Dealing with Emotional Changes a New Baby Brings
  • May 24 – Vacation Planning with Your New Baby

The program is led by Women & Babies Hospital and the Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation. Tammy Agesen, a certified personal trainer, will lead each walk along with a childbirth educator from Women & Babies. Cost is $2 per walk, or $8 for the series. Children walk free but must be in a stroller, sling or front pouch.

Pre-registration is required. To register, call 299-8215, or click here for a printable brochure about the program.
