5th Birthday Party

Join us for a free community celebration at Women & Babies Hospital. We will have games, prizes, activities for children of all ages, a live performance by the Steven Courtney Band and, of course, birthday cake and other refreshments.

Women’s Health Fair

  • Breast Care Center
    • Answer questions about mammograms and receive a prize.
  • Breastfeeding
    • Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding your baby.
  • Behavioral Medicine
    • Learn about upcoming public mental health programs.
  • Cooking Demonstration
    • A “healthy eating” cooking demonstration to delight your senses.
  • Focus on Health Registration
    • Register to attend any of our Focus on Health seminars during the week of September 19 through September 23.
  • Health Education
    • For future moms, learn about our childbirth classes and more. For moms, receive a free babysitting board.
  • Healthy Beginnings Plus
    • Learn about preconception planning and nutrition during pregnancy. See what snacks are high in folic acid.
  • Heart Disease
    • Take a risk assessment and receive free blood pressure screening and individualized counseling.
  • Lab Testing
    • Learn about the importance of glucola testing during pregnancy.
  • Maternity
    • Play games to get you ready for parenthood.
  • Menopause Counseling
    • Educate yourself about menopause and getting through this transition. You’ll have a chance to win a gift certificate for our upcoming menopause educational series.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    • Learn more about our services and our CPR classes.
  • Osteoporosis
    • Receive a free bone density screening for peri- or post-menopausal women.
  • Pastoral Services
    • Learn how our spiritual health advisors focus on the emotional needs of patients.

    • Enjoy an interactive display that educates you and your family about poison prevention and how to recognize poisons.
  • Physical Therapy
    • Educate yourself on the therapies that are available for women including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pre- and post-natal therapy and lymphedema management.

  • Celebration for Life
    • Join us at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to release butterflies in celebration of life.
  • Chair Massages
    • Enjoy a chair massage provided by Ponessa Massage.
  • Mind & Body Classes
    • Participate in demonstrations for pregnancy yoga, mother/baby yoga, mindful yoga, tai chi and journaling for healing.
  • Nutrition and Exercise
    • Enter to win a pedometer and cookbook. Information will be available on our weight management programs—Shapedown and LEARN.
  • Smoking Cessation
    • Learn about our “Freedom from Smoking” program and enter to win a quit smoking survival kit.

Children’s Activities

  • Alex’s Lemonade Stand
    • Help fight childhood cancer, one cup at a time!
  • Fun in the Sun
    • Learn the importance of protecting your skin from sun damage; children will make their own sun visors.
  • Kids’ Zone
    • Central Penn Parent hosts crafts and face painting.
  • Live Entertainment
    • Join the fun at 2:00 p.m. with the Steven Courtney Band.
  • Make Your Own First-aid Kit
    • Children will learn what’s in a first-aid kit, how to use one and make one to take home.
  • Safe Kids
    • Free car seat checks will be provided. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 544-3138.
