This is a Spirit of Women event.
Join us for a day of dance, entertainment, health screening and information – good times mean good health!
The Day of Dance is a fun-filled day of music, and demonstration to encourage women to stay heart healthy. Dance is a fun way to get your blood flowing and an exercise that helps prevent heart disease. Join our team of cardiovascular professionals for health screenings, educational presentations, heart healthy treats and dancing!!
Dancing to Include:
1st Floor, 2112 Building
- 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Encore Dance Center
- 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. – Lancaster School of Irish Dance
- 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Carol’s School of Dance
2nd Floor, 2104 Building
- 1-2 p.m. – Grant Street Modern Dance Company
- 2-3 p.m. – Hawaiian Hula Dance for Aloha
- 3-4 p.m. – N’Bonye’ Dance and Drum Ensemble
- 4-5 p.m. – Country Line Dancing
3rd Floor, 2104 Building
- 1-2 p.m. – Jump Rope for Heart by Rippin Ropers
- 2-3 p.m. – Pilates by Karen Cox
- 3-4 p.m. – Square Dancing by Do-Pos-O-Square Dance Club
- 4-5 p.m. – Heart Healthy Yoga by Michele Zerby
“Dancing for Dreams” Exhibition, 1st Floor, 2100-2104 Building
All demonstrations will include an exhibition and a workshop with social dancing.
- 1:15 – 2 p.m. – Mandy Kuhn of “Always Time for Dancing” dancing the Salsa
- 2:15 – 3 p.m. Jessie Foster of “Jessie Fosters Ballroom Studio” dancing a Smooth dance
- 3:15 – 4 p.m. – Barbara Snyder of “Ballroom on the Square” dancing a Latin dance
- 4:15 – 5 p.m. – George Winchell & Deb Adams will present a West Coast Swing dance
