LGHF is a 501 ( c ) (3) foundation created to advance the quality and capacity of Lancaster General Health’s healthcare services on behalf of the communities and the patients it serves. The Foundation will provide grants and support special programs and initiatives and campaigns within the Lancaster General Health system as prioritized by its Board of Directors.

All funding awards will be directed to programs, projects and initiatives conducted under the auspices of Lancaster General Health. Development of specialized services, sustaining a commitment to the most advanced technology, and expanding a commitment to research are only a few examples of the possibilities the Foundation will help to facilitate.

LGHF is not a community foundation and was not established to fulfill that role. Lancaster General Hospital, however, has a long history of supporting the community and that commitment has not changed. Lancaster General Health and Lancaster General Hospital and its Boards will continue to set its own guidelines and priorities to direct how it will provide that support.
