The purpose of this report is to assist consumers and purchasers in making more informed health care decisions. This report includes 31 conditions based on ICD-9-CM (International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification) codes, which specify the clinical reason(s) for a patient's hospitalization. The data is complied for reporting to PHC4 (Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council).
