Heart Month

February is Heart Month

When it’s your heart, there’s no such thing as a minor heart problem. That’s why it’s so important to strive for a healthy lifestyle and take warning signs seriously: like chest pain, excessive heartburn, shortness of breath, pain or numbness in arm or side and—for women— frequent nausea or dizziness.

Februrary is Heart Month, and Lancaster General Health encourages awareness of the heart disease and its symptoms. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in Americans, which annually kills more people than the next seven leading causes of death combined.
