Health Fair Options

The Wellness Center can set up a variety of interactive booths at your health fair. We can work with you to set up an entire health fair, one booth and everything in between. For more details, call 544-3286 or email wellness@lancastergeneral.org
  • Nutrition – Body fat measured with bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). Educational material on diet & exercise.
  • Blood Pressure -Screening on site. Educational material and wallet card given to all participants. Follow-up telephone calls in two weeks to all participants not being monitored by a physician (BP>140/90)
  • Diabetes – Glucose testing with results and counseling on site. Related educational material provided.
  • Exercise – Flexibility testing using Sit and Reach test. Educational material and on site counseling.
  • Cholesterol (total) – Fingerstick testing and on site results. Educational materials and counseling related to diet, exercise and cholesterol. Follow-up phone calls within two weeks to all individuals with cholesterol over 200 who are not being followed by a physician.
  • Stress Awareness – Interactive questionnaire. Questions answered related to stress. Educational material provided.
  • Women’s Health Issues – Educational materials on osteoporosis, hormone replacement therapy, self-breast exam, pre-menstrual syndrome, pregnancy and healthy aging. Registered nurse is on-hand to answer questions.
  • Men’s Health Issues – Educational material provided on testicular exam, prostate cancer and healthy aging. Registered nurse available for questions.
  • Humor Therapy - We'll show you how humor can have a healing, therapeutic effect on illness and injury.  
  • How to be a Wise Medical Consumer - Educational materials on how to ask the right questions and how to make healthcare decisions that are right for you and your family.
  • Health Risk Appraisal  - This tool can also be used as part of a Health Fair with each booth providing additional information. Individual results are mailed to the individual’s home, but group results are also available – thus ensuring confidentiality.
