Dr. Kent Carr

Dr. Kent Carr named Senior VP of Physician Services at Lancaster General

Kent E. Carr, MD, MMM, CPE, has been named the Senior Vice President of Physician Services.

Dr. Carr is responsible for all aspects of the daily operations of the Lancaster General Medical Group (LGMG) network of 18 medical practices, which includes family and internal medicine, endocrinology, pediatrics, GYN-Oncology, hematology and oncology, rheumatology and adult and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Carr previously served as President & CEO of Mercy Clinics, Inc., a 155-physician multi-specialty group practice in Des Moines, Iowa. In his role at Mercy, Dr. Carr also served on the Boards of Directors of Midwest Medical Insurance Holding Company, Midwest Medical Insurance Company, Mercy North Ambulatory Surgery Center and West Lakes Ambulatory Surgery Center.

A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Carr holds a B.S. degree from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C. (1979), and received his Doctor of Medicine degree upon graduating from the East Carolina State University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C., in 1984.

Dr. Carr is a member of the American College of Physician Executives, Medical Group Management Association, American Medical Group Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians.
