Free HIV Testing with Rapid Results Offered at Comprehensive Care Center

The team of healthcare professionals at Lancaster General’s Comprehensive Care Center offers free, confidential HIV testing to anyone who requests the test. It’s done with an oral sample—a small swab put inside the upper and lower gums that can detect HIV antibodies. Click here to read the full story.

 
To improve patient safety, Lancaster General has adopted a new a statewide initiative that establishes uniform color-coded alert wrist bands as a way for medical staff to quickly recognize a patient’s special conditions, reducing the chance of confusiion potentially caused by hospitals using different color schemes. Click here to read the full story.
