Dr. Lawrence I. Bonchek Kicks Off
College’s Distinguished Lecture Series
Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences will debut its Distinguished Lecture Series on Wednesday, April 16 at 4 p.m., in Stager Auditorium at Lancaster General Hospital.
Lawrence I. Bonchek, MD, Founder and former Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Lancaster General Hospital, and now Editor-in-Chief, The Journal of Lancaster General Hospital, will discuss the development of artificial heart valves, an aspect of heart surgery with which he has been intimately involved. His talk is entitled:
“Tackling the Impossible: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Developing Artificial Heart Valves.”
The Distinguished Lecture Series will feature renowned healthcare professionals who will share their timely insights on medical and health-related topics. Plans are already underway for future lectures.
The series will enhance the College’s reputation as an exceptional educational institution dedicated to providing a stimulating academic/intellectual environment.
