General News:
Smoke-Free Friends offers a helping hand

It’s not easy to quit smoking. That’s why Lancaster General offers the Smoke-Free Friends Group to give you the support you need to find the best way for you to kick the habit and get on the right path to a healthier lifestyle.

This group is led by former smokers who completed the Freedom from Smoking class and understand the challenges you need to overcome and quit smoking for good. Smoke-Free Friends welcomes anyone coping with a tobacco addiction to join the group.

We also offer resources on staying smoke free and encouragement to quit again for those struggling with relapse. As one participant says, “This is the one social gathering I can come to and not be tempted to smoke.”

The group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lancaster General Health Campus in the Neuro Center conference room on the 2nd floor. For more information, call 544-3138, or visit Smoke-Free Friends Group online.
