LancasterGeneral.org Expands Interactivity
As Internet technologies develop, so do the number of online services Lancaster General offers patients. Our newest capability—online bill payment—establishes Lancaster General as one of the growing number of hospitals to understand the benefits of electronic transactions. Online bill payment offers a convenient, safe alternative to writing checks. Electronic payment saves money by reducing postage and check costs. Equally as important, it saves people time.
Patients can find “Online Bill Payment” at www.LancasterGeneral.org. Lancaster General Hospital will accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for online bill payments. Lancaster General Medical Group physician offices will accept Visa and MasterCard only.
Besides paying bills online, Lancaster General patients can also register electronically for events and schedule screening mammograms and chest X-rays. Earlier this summer, Lancaster General Hospital made it possible for patients to complete the pre-registration process from the convenience of their home. All of these options are located under “Patient Services.”
While we incorporated several online features for your convenience, we also offer interactive educational tools, including the “Find A Doctor” link located on our homepage. You can use this feature to find a family physician or a physician in a medical specialty.
If you’re interested in continuing to learn more, you can register for one of our monthly Health-e newsletters. Topics include Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Children’s Health, Breast Health, Heart Health and Mind & Body. You can even receive “Generally Speaking” electronically. All of these tools are located under “Health Library.”
