The Lancaster General Pediatric Diabetes Center provides comprehensive diabetes care for children and young adults under the age of 18.

The diabetes care team includes a:

• Pediatrician
• endocrinologist
• Diabetes nurse specialist
• Registered dietitian
  **(The nurse and dietitian are certified diabetes educators)

Clinic visit frequency is based on the preference of both you and your primary care physician (every three months is recommended)

Features of the Center include:

• Educational resources and a video lending library
• Education on childhood issues such as school/peer, emotional, social, illness, parental relationships, etc.

Some major medical insurances/HMO's cover the Center services.
