Plan-it Baby!
If you are thinking about having a baby, this 2-hour class can help you prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy. Fee: $20.
Early Pregnancy Class
For couples less than four months pregnant, we will discuss fetal growth, common discomforts of early pregnancy, comfort measures, exercise, nutrition and breastfeeding. This is a 2-hour session. Fee: $20.
Evening Basic Childbirth Classes
Childbirth classes are for women who are in their sixth month of pregnancy and their partners. You will learn basic information about pregnancy, labor and delivery, relaxation, breathing techniques, medical options and practices, and the postpartum period. A video tour of the maternity area and a walk through tour is included the first week of class. Classes are offered various evenings at a variety of locations. There are five, two-hour sessions. Fee: $65.
Weekend Childbirth Classes
A one-day, accelerated childbirth class is available for those couples with a busy lifestyle and conflicting work schedules. A tour of the maternity area is included. This is a one-day session from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fee: $65.
Spanish Childbirth Classes
These classes are offered as needed to accommodate our Spanish-speaking patients and their partners.
Private Childbirth Classes
Classes can be provided at your home upon request. The hourly rate is based upon educational need.
Birthing Multiples
This class is designed for couples expecting twins, triplets or more! Learn ways to deal with specific circumstances that can occur when you are having more than one baby. This 2 1/2-hour session should be taken early in your second trimester. You should also attend a basic childbirth class. Fee: $25.
Childbirth Class Video Tape/DVD Rental
A videotape series of the course is available on a rental basis for those who are unable to attend childbirth classes. Fee: $65 with a $30 refundable deposit.
Refresher Childbirth Class – A Review of Labor & Breathing
The refresher class is for couples that recently delivered a baby and need only a quick review of breathing techniques to prepare them for their new baby. This class reviews labor, delivery, anesthesia, relaxation and breathing. A walk through tour is included in the class. This is a 1 1/2 hour class. Fee: $20.
