When a woman is told she has breast cancer, a coordinator from the Suzanne H. Arnold Center for Breast Health works directly with her, helping her get the right information so that she fully understands her condition and treatment options. This personal care and expert coordination between each patient and her healthcare team assures the best possible treatment plan.
Clinical Trials
Patients have the opportunity to participate in Phase II and Phase III national clinical trials—studies of promising new treatments. Phase II trials help to determine the appropriate dosages for new treatments. When treatments progress to Phase III, they are thought to be at least as beneficial as standard treatment and may offer even more effective treatment.
Clinical trials offer both benefits and risks, and you should work closely with your doctor to determine if there is a clinical trial that might be right for you. For additional information on our clinical trials, please call (717) 544-5965.
